Dig Bulbs for Forcing

Dig up bulbs now for forcing during the winter. Put them in the refrigerator for about a month. Then plant them in pots and let them grow. Then they will be ready to plant for flowers at Christmas time.

Newspaper for Gardening

Lay newspaper down where you want to plant a new garden space next year. Cover it with leaves, some dirt, and compost. Next year you will have a weed free spot to dig your new garden.

- Bobbie - Colorado

Editor's Note: Shredded newspaper is also great for the compost pile.
