Some refunders do much of their Christmas gift shopping by acquiring freebies...sending in forms and proofs, visiting web sites, or buying items at lower prices with coupons. If you accumulate these items throughout the year for the people on your gift list, you'll have much of your shopping done as the holidays come near.

What types of items might you look for and save for Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers? (Incidentally many of these can be used for birthday gifts as well.)

Look at the range of items available and match them with the people on your list.

Do You Have Collectors?

If you have collectors on your list, you may find just what they're looking for.

*Cookbook and recipe booklets are ideal for the cooks in your family. Also, many of these become collectors’ items in years to come because they're published by the manufacturers.

*The scale model cars, trucks, and racing vehicles appeal to the collectors of these items. They often are of particular interest if the manufacturer’s name or logo appears on the vehicle.

*Other items with manufacturers’ names and logos are of interest to many collectors. These may include refrigerator magnets, pens, T-shirts, calendars, posters, etc.

Free Samples for Stocking Stuffers

There are many web sites where you can register for free samples of items such as shampoo and conditioner, hand cream, foot lotion, sensitive skin gel, make-up, skin care, toothpaste, toothbrushes, posters, and others.

Sometimes the manufacturer will send you the item; other times you may receive a coupon with which to purchase the product.

Start For Next Year

It may be too late to do my Christmas shopping through your refunding for this year, but it's not too early to get started for next year. Also, these gifts can be used for people on your birthday list, too.
