I have an awning over our home entry. It cannot be removed. It needs a good cleaning. I have tried hot water and soap. There must be an easier way.

is your awning canvas? if so use a mild soap, cold water and a brush, rinse well on top and underneath. you may have to do a couple of times, if it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. you should do this a couple of times a year to prolong your canvas. awning dirt and leaking trees are it's worst enemy. i made canvas awnings for 15 yrs. good luck
