Orange and Pineapple Fruit Salad

My mother and I were talking about a recipe she used to make for the holidays years ago, but she has no idea were the recipe is. Can anyone help?

Ingredients:

  • Oranges
  • Pineapple
  • Maraschino Cherries
  • Coconut
  • Grapes?
  • Walnuts?

If anyone has the recipe and can confirm the ingredients and the portions I would appreciate it. We want to make this for a church gathering this weekend.

Thank you.

Okay, no luck so far. I checked out the Ambrosia salads on Allrecipes and none of the listings were it.
As I said before it is more of a fruit salad kind of like fruit cocktail. It was not strong with coconut they were just sort of spinkled in it. It did not have cream cheese, whip cream or pudding in it.
It was like a big bowl of cut up oranges with other things mixed in.

Sounds like an Ambrosia salad. You can look for those on Allrecipes or such.

It's more of an Orange Fruit Salad than Pinapple. Oranges are the main ingredient.
