Brown sausage, drain off fat and pat dry with paper towels. Lightly butter 9x13 inch pan (glass). Mix together eggs and milk (2 1/2 cups). Layer croutons, sausage, cheese, and egg and milk mixture. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. In morning before baking, pour the milk (1 cup) and soup which has been mixed together over the top of ingredients in pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325-350 degrees F uncovered. Let set a few minutes before cutting.
