Barbecued Beef Patties

These are good on buns or separately on your plate with sauce over.


  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
  • Ad
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 minced onion
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk


Moisten crumbs with a little of the milk. Add ground beef and remaining milk. Season and mix well. Form 4 large patties. Brown on both sides in hot shortening. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook 10 minutes.

Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
