What ever your mother, grandmother, or other special woman likes, one of these two corsage pins is sure to hit the mark and they are so easy to make. Just change a couple of items and you have two completely different looks. Have fun. Button pin with red background.

Approximate Time: 1 hour

Supplies:

Templates and yo yo central piece of fabric for making a floral button pin.

Instructions:

Cut a 2 inch disc from you cardboard and a 4 inch circle from one of your scrap fabrics, gather the fabric with a running stitch 1/8 inch from the edge, slip it over the cardboard circle gather it tightly and tie it off. You will need to do this step no matter which version you are doing.

Trace the petal templates onto the fusible web, 6 petals from the large petal one and 6 from the small petal. Fuse the wrong side of the darker fabric to the larger petal on your web and cut out the petals. Peel off the paper backing and fuse to the same fabric to cover the back of each petal. Repeat with the other fabric and the small petal template.

Make a pleat in the bottom straight edge of a large leaf and glue it on your fabric covered disc so it sticks out over the edge 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch with the pleat near the gathered center. Floral button pin - Putting the fabric pieces together.

Now, glue your lace over your large petal so it doesn't show. Then center a small leaf on top of a large one and glue it down or leave it off entirely; I liked the separation the small leaf gave so I left mine in. Repeat with all 6 leaves completing your circle.

After you get all of your petals on, arrange your buttons and glue them down, add your bow and pin back.
