Cleaning Linen Shoes |
I have a pair of off-white linen shoes that I have worn for several seasons without them needing cleaned. Now they need to be cleaned and I don't have any idea what to use at home. Any suggestions?

Use bar soap to make a wet washcloth sudsy and foamy. Holding the shoe on your hand, give it a gentle, thorough washing. Rinse by quickly running the shoe through a little stream of water from the faucet. Use another cloth to blot off the shoe, and let dry. Stuff with wadded newspaper if necessary to keep their shape. When the shoes are dry, spray lightly with spray starch and let that dry.
