Decorated Ice For Punch Bowl

At our wedding, we made special large cubes for the punch bowl and froze rose petals in it. You can use anything non-toxic, on other occasions I have used fruit slices, sprigs of mint, etc. We froze them in a standard plastic margarine container!

Warning! Only a FEW flowers are edible, so find out which ones are FIRST before placing them in drinks or food, then ENJOY! God bless you. : )

This is so clever and simple. Who would have thought? Can't wait to try flowers in ice for our next party. Thanks for the tip.

Ice Ring for Punch Bowl

A great mold to use for an ice ring to float in a punch bowl, is the plastic container that store bought angel food cake comes in.

To make: mix up some of the punch you will be using, add some fruit like blueberries, grapes, strawberries cut in 1/2 or 1/4's, whatever you like, and fill the plastic form 3/4 full. (The liquid will expand when frozen.) Freeze overnight.

Add to your punch and let float while serving to keep punch cold and look pretty. To get the frozen ring to release from the mold, just run some warm water over the bottom and sides of mold. Works great!
