Continually Add to Your Shopping List

With the escalating cost at the grocery, we need an accurate list to conserve time, gas and, most of all, not buying something we already have at home! Hang one of those market lists with a magnet on the back right on your fridge. When you prepare a recipe and empty a container (say a can of corn, for instance), go to your fridge and write "can of corn" on your list. If you are consistent with this, you will have most of your groceries already listed when you go to the store next time. Even our children add to the list when using the "last one"!

I never shop without a list! My husband knows if it's not on the list, it doesn't get purchased!

If you really need help there is a website called www.freelist.com and they have all kinds of grocery list and you can make copies and then hang them up and just use them.

I just realized how handy this could be when I spring cleaned my pantry this weekend. I found duplicates of things (ie: 3 bags if icing sugar!) and several duplicate spices because I thought I had run out. Keeping an inventory of groceries is a good idea. Tonight I tackle the condiments in the fridge :)

I've done this all my grown life. It really saves money & time, good luck.
