Augustana-Special Casserole

Cook the following until clear, but not brown:
  • 1 small onion(diced)
  • 1/4 cup green pepper (diced)

Add:

  • 1 lb. hamburger (cooked, crumbly & drained)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small can mushroom pieces
  • 4 oz. pkg. noodles (partially cooked)

Directions:

Pour all into a well greased Pyrex dish. Bake 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Sprinkle a can of French fried onions over the top of the casserole the last 5 minutes of baking.

Thanks Robin - that's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure. I've noticed a lot of ingredients, when listed on this site, are identified by its regional description, we all do it, so before I wasted any of the ingredients.......

The chicken soup in this casserole is cream of chicken as you would expect from most casseroles.

One question - does "chicken soup" mean Cream of Chicken soup or something else? Thanks!
