I used Nu-Eyes and was able to see better for about one year. But my cataract has gotten worse and I now need surgery. It's very disappointing. Has anyone had this issue?

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

The case for using Nu-eyes over surgery, assuming that your cataract is in the first half of it's development, is to my mind overwhelming. Personally I have gotten rid of both my cataracts using the product so I am naturally delighted. Surgery on the other hand does carry risks as Jantoo points out (about 2% failure rate I believe) which as operations go is very low. However who wants to be one of the 2% ? What the surgeons do not tell you though is that a frightening 45% to 55% have to have further surgery or laser treatment within 2 years of a cataract operation, more risk, more cost. The product, I understand, merely replaces the natural anti-oxidant that normally protects the youthful and healthy eye that goes missing with old age and health issues. Added to all this the cost is a fraction of surgery so is this not a "no brainer" ? I now have no trouble driving at night and the colors have regained their vibrancy again. (03/08/2007)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

I googled honey and cataracts this morning, and found that in fact honey has been used for thousands of years for cataracts. And in fact you can find honey eye drops on the web. There apparently is some serious medical research for a non-surgical cataract cure going on, but I have not found it yet. A Dr. Williams recommends glutathione, n-acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid, and vitamins C, A and E, of course, as anti-oxidants. (05/21/2007)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

I have taken Nu-Eyes (N-acetylcarnosine drops) for seven months and, subjectively, have seen no improvement whatever. It seems that is is not effective. My eyes are diagnosed with early cataracts by two ophthalmologists. One gives me double vision, the other makes things blurry and foggy. I was so hopeful that I gave Nu-Eyes (Bionational) a shot. Supposedly, there is a measurable improvement in 3 to 6 months, but alas, I am beginning to wonder. Is this a scam, a ripoff, poor biased research coupled with aggressive marketing, or am I a special case? I have no unusual problems at age 66, other than cataracts. This, if it works at all, it is not a miracle drug. Beware. (06/09/2007)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

I have used Nu-Eyes. I was told by my eye doctor I had a cataract forming and would probably have to have surgery in 5 years. I tried Nu-Eyes, and noticed over time the clarity of my vision returned. Then I didnt use it for about 6-9 months and my vision started clouding up again. So last few months I started using it again, and once again regained a lot of visual clarity. Last time I saw my eye doctor he said my cataract hadn't progressed (this after about 1 1/2 years) and that it was good to do the drops. Its a gradual change and maybe not the end and be all, but I got a good lesson when I stopped that it really was helping. (06/12/2007)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

About 5 years ago my two cataracts got so bad, I had one removed. The doctor at the Eye Center Of Northern Colorado botched it, needed a second surgery by specialist in Denver. So I delayed the second cataract. It became completely opaque. Three years ago I started Can-C then Nu-Eyes, one drop before falling asleep. I also stopped all sugar. Results were slow but obvious in the one eye: from nothing to reading 350 font. Maybe in another 3 years the eye will be functional. (07/04/2007)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

I got results in just 4 months. My vision got better by 2 points in one eye and the cataract was smaller. In the other eye, it hadn't grown. I'll be on this stuff forever. (09/29/2007)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

It was removed by the FDA off the shelves due to it's ineffectiveness. No documented studies shows any improvement of cataracts at all. In fact, studies suggested the eye drops affected the pH of the eye in a negative fashion. (That's about all it did). (07/03/2008)

RE: Nu-Eyes Reviews (Non-Surgical Cataract Removal)

I had visited my eye doctor and was informed that I had cataracts. I am 71 and was thinking about surgery. My eye doctor introduced to Nu-Eyes and told me that several of his patients has used it and had success. So I started with program in February of 2008 and continued until October. I went back for a checkup and was told that my cataracts were gone. Night driving is not a problem anymore. (11/22/2008)
