THIS IS IMPORTANT.

When you replace older bathroom faucet, remember the industry is going through a lot of design change.

Make sure you know what size and number of holes you have in your sink before you puchase or try to install a new faucet. The new ones don't always fit the old holes, even if they say they do, even if your plumber orders it for you.

For the first step, turn off the water, and remove the old faucet parts above the sink. Make a little template of the holes before you shop. Look at the specs/schematics for the faucet before you buy it. That way, you know if it will fit.

Some sinks may be redrilled, but most plumbers are afraid of the sink cracking from the heat. Then you'lll need a new sink and possibly a cabinet. Talk about a BIG jump from the first estimate! EPAR! (That's spelled backwards. hahaha)

Hope this helps.

I had 3 bathroom that had leaky faucets. I purchased 3 new faucets that have one handle instead of two nobs. I like the one handle faucets because when I have dirty hands I can use my arm to lift the handle.

I exchanged the pipes to the hot and cold so it would be the same as the old tap. This way my kids do not get mixed up and burn themselves. I purchased a set of red pipe wrenches and switched out the faucets.

I didn't buy any faucets with plastic inners. I went to the local plumber distributor and got a great buy on all metal faucets. They had all the parts for my 30 year old plumbing which Lowes or Home Depot did not have.
