How do I remove the ice tray in my Kenmore freezer? It has ice in it, but it won't come out.

Is the ice release lever in the on or off position? I once was having the same problem and it was simply because the lever wasn't in the release on mode.
My lever is stuck in the off position, Kenmore side by side ice maker in the door. how do you get it to release? It's a hard plastic and you can't just pull it down.
Were is the release lever located on my Kenmore elite side by side?
