Make Trifle From Stale Cake
Stale cake makes great trifle. Just slice up your cake, pile on a dish, and leave it to soak for a couple of hours in either some kind of sweet alcohol like cointreau, sweet sherry, or port OR fruit juice OR strong coffee with sugar. Then when it's soaked up deliciously, smother the cake with whipped cream or custard and decorate with fruit.
