Candy Cane Stick Ice Cream Punch |

With the holidays fast approaching I want to put a little pazazzz in my punch. My friend says there is a punch that uses the special candy cane stick ice cream from Blue Bunny that comes out only this time of year. Does anybody have the recipe? I want to use it for Thanksgiving. It will be my first time hosting Thanksgiving for my family!

Peppermint Punch

"This wonderfully unusual punch is my husband's grandmother's recipe. I normally don't like punch...but the first time I tried this punch I couldn't get enough! Kids love it, too. Makes a nice holiday and shower punch." Original recipe yield: 24 servings.
INGREDIENTS:
1 quart peppermint ice cream
1 cup cold milk
2 liters ginger ale, chilled
DIRECTIONS:
Place ice cream in a punch bowl, and allow to soften slightly. Blend in milk and ginger ale. Stir until frothy. Serve at once, or keep chilled until ready to serve.

Blue Bell Ice Cream makes a Peppermint Ice Cream. I even found recipes that used crushed peppermint or pepermint extract.
