How to cure my pet cockatoo bird when it is scratching itself?

You may to make sure that it does not have bird mites. Also, you may want to spray it down frequently as a bath, as it may have dry skin and it is truly itchy.

Please see your local Avian Veterinarian. You can call your local spca to locate a Vet that specializes in birds. Birds can scratch for many reasons, mites being one. Your Vet can tell you exactly what is wrong and how to treat it... Good luck
