What you need is the following: Bracketron Nav-Mat Portable GPS Holder Model: UFM-100-BL
I purchased mine on the eBay website and the seller offered Free Shipping at the time.
I originally planned on making one for my portable GPS, but then decided to purchase a Nav-Mat instead.

Log onto Google and type in: Bracketron Nav-Mat Portable GPS Holder and see how they are constructed. I only paid $9.99 for mine.

Please Note: In some states it is a violation if the GPS is mounted on the windshield.
