How do I remove candle wax from a treasured doily?

Editor's Note: Try using the iron or a hair dryer with paper towels to absorb the wax. Because it is a treasured doily, you might want to use the hair dryer.

I was told by my sister that, Avon "Skin so Soft" will take wax and gum from carpets along with many, many other different uses!

All i do is put a newspaper over the spot & use a hot iron but you have too remember too keep moveing the newspaper cause it is the newspaper that soaks up the wax.

You can put a piece of paper down over the candle wax or even paper towel and then put the iron on the lowest setting and go over it. The iron melts the wax and attaches it to your towel. Just don't let iron sit there for long time. Keep using clean cloths until it all comes up. This work on my carpet!
