I spent $475 on maintainence. Didn't have any thing go wrong with my '95 Buick. I bought it used with low mileage, replacing the tires and having the oil change regularly and having the radiator drained and new antifreeze. When I replace this car I think I go for another Buiick.

Less than $500, and I own a Cadillac, no less. It was a good year. We use it for day trips and travel.
If the amount was $1500-$2000, my husband would insist on a new car.
Of course, I buy only used cars. If you buy a new car, you're not thrifty at all.
