I recently recieved a gold tie fac with the initialsof a favorite relative. Since I would get little use out of a tie tac, I took it to a jeweler and it maid into a ring. I took a few other gold pieces I no longer use and traded the labor for the extra gold. The jeweler took the flat disc-shaped tie tack and rolled it to fit on the band sized for my finger. Now I feel joy when I look at the ring I wear every day.
