South Carolina Christmas Charities

I am looking for a agency in my area that helps low income families with Christmas for their kids. Can you help me?

I think you might be a little late in asking for help. Just because you are low income doesn't mean you are low enough income to qualify for help with some of the charities. All each one of your kids needs is one gift per kid, and it doesn't have to be an expensive gift. I'm sure you could find something satisfactory at a dollar store. The main secret when you are low income is to buy one gift a month starting no later than February. I live off $700 a month. I spend $40.00 each on my two daughters and about $30.00 each on each of my four adult grandkids. I also spend $20.00 each on my elderly aunt and a cousin. I wouldn't be able to do this if I didn't start shopping in February and I also give them birthday gifts during the year. Ask your social worker/food stamp case manager if he/she knows of any of these charities that are still taking applications. I am assuming if you are low enough income to need Christmas help you must have a social worker.
