I use the 2 ltr. bottles to light my walk way. take a string of outdoor lights...clear works best. Wash and remove lable from bottle. cut small air holes in the bottle on the sides. toward the bottom of the bottle. I use green and clear bottles but you can use any color and i would imagine you could use some type of paint on them. Get a dowel rod or piece of wood to push in ground. U can tape or staple the wood to the bottle...making sure that the wood is longer then the bottle and the end to be put in the ground is going up past the mouth of the soda bottle. Place one or two lights from string into bottle using electrical tape to secure them inside the bottle. place where you would like them ....makes a great scene when snow falls because the snow lays ontop...which is actually the bottom of the bottle....and creates a green glow.
