I'm having a Halloween party and I have the decorations set but I need a little help on ideas with the food. I have eyeball ice cubes and I'm putting little plastic spiders on toothpicks but what else can I do? Thanks!

When storing watermelon in a covered container in the refrigerator and a piece of paper towel is placed in the bottom of the container and also on top of the watermelon, what does this do to the watermelon? And is this necessary? I say it dries the watermelon out and takes away the flavor.

Grind enough green tomatoes to make one gallon. Grind up the peppers, hot peppers, and onions and add to tomatoes. Add salt and mix well. Place in colander to drain.
Mix all together in large pan. Cook over medium temperature to a good boil. Continue cooking for 5 minutes. Seal in pint jars for future use. We think this is very good served with beans and cornbread!

Here is an inexpensive and fast way to make Swedish meatballs.
Mix hamburger, crackers, eggs and garlic powder well and roll in to meatballs. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30-45 minutes, until nearly done. Drain fat.
For gravy, put the soup in a bowl and blend with 1/2 can of milk per can of soup. Pour over meatballs and bake another 15 min or so until soup is hot.
May serve with mashed potatoes topped with more of the cream of mushroom soup gravy.
