Is it possible to repair a scratched music CD?

Vasaline. Just wax on and wax off with a soft cloth

Try spraying with pledge furniture polish and then buff off with soft cloth. This works for many scratches on CD's or DVD's.

They make a kit you can buy at Walmart or Kmart for under $10. But if you hold the disc up to light and you can see that the scratch goes into the silver part the disc is beyond repair.
