Go to a site called eHow.com. Also when making bows, to get a tighter one twist the finished bow instead of the wire.

With putting together ribbon for florals decor I take and loop, nice and even, the desired diameter of your bow, around my hand. Go around four times, for a full bow.

Pinch the ribbon roll together in the middle, and secure it with floral wire. Occasionally, I cut a small triangle cut on each side of the middle to make it not bunch up........ >I I< The arrows indicate where to cut it and DONT snip too close to the opposite side or you may cut it in half!

Once you have the ribbon ready and tied, take the ribbon and seperate out the individual loops. Each loop will stay out if you gently twist the very bottom of it, at the tied area of the bundle. Done.

PS. You could probably find a demo of this to watch on Better Homes and Gardens website, or off of HGTV website.

When making a bow, you first tie the knot. Look at the knot closely, and you will see that one string comes out at the "top" of the knot, and the other string comes out at the "bottom" of the knot. Take the string that comes out of the bottom and make a loop. Then take the string that comes out of the top, and place it up and over the front of the loop you just made. Then pull a section of that string through the opening that is behind the first loop. This will make the second loop. By placing the string that comes out of the top of the knot up and over the string that comes out of the bottom, you will make a perfect bow every time.

Hard to explain, but its just like tying your shoe laces, but omit the first part. Then just trim your ribbon.
