Casserole Bread

Ingredients:
  • 5 1/2-6 1/2 cup unsifted flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 pkgs. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. soft margarine
  • 2 cup very warm water
  • 3 eggs

Directions:

Mix in large bowl:1 1/2 cup flour, sugar, salt, and the undissolved dry yeast. Add the margarine. Gradually add very warm water to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer, scraping bowl frequently. Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour. Beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Cover, let rise until double (about 35 minutes). Stir down and turn into 2 greased casseroles. Cover, let rise until double (about 40 minutes). Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until done. Remove from casseroles and cool on wire racks. Butter top crust.
