Craft Project: Cinnamon Broom Deer

Cinnamon Broom Deer

Cinnamon Broom Deer

This is great for hanging between your door and your storm door. It is flatter than most wreaths, etc. Cute, quick and simple to make. Start with a cinnamon broom

Approximate Time:

Supplies:

  • cinnamon broom
  • Bows, Holly, Poinsettias
  • black and white felt for eyes
  • Red plastic Christmas Tree ball ornament
  • Hot glue gun and glue

Instructions:

If you have the long handled broom as in the picture at the bottom right, cut the handle off just below the binding. This is an easy task with the band saw. Separate the broom into two equal parts and tie with twine

Trace eye patterns below onto felt, cut out and hot glue in position. Hot glue the red ball in place. Hot glue your choice of embellishments to cover the twine. You could also add a little spray snow from a can on the tips of the reindeer "antlers" Add a ribbon to the back Just at the bottom of the separated "antlers" for a hanger.
