- 1/3 cup soft butter or other shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup undiluted evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Add sugar gradually to butter or shortening, mixing until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with milk. Begin and end with flour mixture. Turn out on a floured board. Roll to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with floured 2 1/2 inch cookie cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet on oven shelf slightly above center at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes or until light brown.

Do you mix the sugar and cinnamon in with the baking powder/flour, or roll the twists in it? Sounds great either way!
