Extra Fresh Fruit? |

Rinse and freeze in a single layer (on a baking sheet), then store in ziploc bags. Use frozen in smoothies. They will thicken the smoothie as well as taste great.

I love frozen grapes! I'm wondering about a teething baby swallowing a slippery frozen grape and choking....

RE: Extra Fresh Fruit?
I often put things like grapes in a plastic freezer bag and freeze them. Some fruits ought not be washed first. Washing them makes them get soggy. Not only are they good for Smoothies, but frozen grapes make a great refreshing snack. They are also ideal (especially if skinned first) for teething babies. When bananas are in danger of getting too ripe, I peel them, cut out the bad parts, and wrap them in Glad Press and Seal freezer wrap. Sometimes I put them in plastic freezer bags. Not only are those good in smoothies, they are a wonderful hot weather snack. They have a wonderful texture when frozen, and are a great substitute for less nutritious commercial frozen treats, and are also more nutritious than juice popsicles. In hot weather, we tend to lose potassium, and bananas are an excellent source for replenishing this.
