I recently bought yankee jar candles. I was so disappointed. I used a candle warmer, and there was not much fragrance at all. Maybe it was the fragrance i chose, but for what they cost, you would think they would all have a strong fragrance. Any suggestions on stronger fragrances? Thanks for all replies.

You've got to try Stephanie Lee Candles! They are the strongest, best selling candles out there. They are less expensive than their competitors and by far better candles. They're handmade and have over 100 scents to choose from. I'm a huge fan. www.stephanieleecandles.com

I love candles! I found a website online called The Wick Hut! I ordered a few candles from there. Let me tell you I burned them and they smell so good. Let me know what you think!

I have never had a problem with Gold Canyon candles "losing" their scent half way down. In fact I just started selling them but have been burning them for a few years. Want a catalog just email me mobrigham @wavecabledotcom

I have to agree - I have purchased several different scents in the Yankee brand and they do not smell. I am very disappointed with them and the fact that they are so expensive. I like Gold Canyon and Salt City Candles. Both have good strong scents and burn clean.

I've only tried the chocolate one, but every time I burn it, it smells like I'm baking brownies! They are a soy blend.

If you are looking for a great candle my daughter sells soy candles that she makes fresh in her home. Her website is www.mauromeltables.com. She does a great business and you will be thrilled with all the scents she has. They are very strong and last right to the bottom of the jar. Soy is so great because no soot and the candle burns clean right to the bottom. She gets alot of compliments on her candles. She has done wedding and shower favors and everyone was thrilled with them. Give her a try.

Stephanie Lee Candles.com - they're fairly new, but they use the maximum fragrance to wax ratio you can actually put in a candle. They are fantastic!
I've used Gold Canyon before, but Stephanie Lee Candles you can order online. They have a great selection of fragrances, too. I think you would love them.

If your looking for strong candles with fragrance that will fill up the whole room try http://candlesbymallory.tripod.com
They are very strong, handmade soy candles, so they last longer and don't fill the air or the jar with that ugly black soot.
Give 'em a try, you won't be dissappointed!!!! :)

I love Gold Canyon also (esp. with candle warmer--they last so long!!!)--some scents are stronger than others. I have been most pleased with melon fragrances and "clean laundry" type fragrances (can't remember exact name) from Gold Canyon. Also have had great luck using "tarts", which are scented candle wax made specifically for candle warmers. I found them on ebay from various sellers--got like 10 for $4 or $5, they last a long time when placed in a small glass container on candle warmer. Try a search on the site.

It is a little expensive but well worth it. Partylite candles. I use to sell them, I love them. Host a party and you can almost get all your candles free, or all of them for free. You can touch the wax and not get burned. The wax totally melts out of your holders if you use the proper holder for the right candle. Nothing left except the wix holder. I am tellinh you these are great candles. I would try PartyLite.com. If you can't get anywhere and interested let me know, I will see if I can find a Consultant.

I use a candle warmer religiously and have the best luck with Glade and Renuzit fragranced candles. In fact I can smell one right now in my room! Other expensive jar candles I have used, even the ones you have to buy at parties, do not perform as well with the candle warmer as these fragranced candles do. Good luck!

There is a candle out there that is MUCH better than Yankee. It is called Gold Canyon - and only available from 'party' type orders. (no !! I don't sell Gold Canyon...lol).
I have found though - that all of them 'lose' their fragrance long before the wax is gone - so now I burn them about half way down, then use the warmer.
Hope this helps !

Forget-Me-Not Aromas carry both soy & gel candles at the moment. In the near future, we'll be adding paraffin for those that prefer paraffin candles. We also have an "Exclusive" Coffee Bean candle in our lineup for coffee lovers.

I would make sure when you purchase candles that they are not made with Paraffin, which is a carcinogen. Unfortunately, most candles are made with Paraffin. I look for candles made with soy, beeswax or vegetable oil, which are recommended by the American Lung Assoc. Bath & Body works has excellent candles that smell wonderful & are made with safe vegetable oil. I buy most of my candles at A.I. Root (airoot.com) which are made with beeswax & soy & are excellent candles. Purchasing safe soy candles also helps the farmers.

There were a few times I purchased Yankee brand candles and the scent was weak. I never thought about that they could be old. You can make the scent stronger by adding the same scent or close to the melted wax when you use a candle warmer. I do that frequently.

Have you ever tried Gold Canyon Candles? They have a nice strong flavor and they burn down evenly with two wicks. Also the fragrance lasts to the very end! They are great! Check out www.mygccandle.com/scentthisway
