I put too much sugar in a batch of Chili and was wondering what to do.
Any ideas?

I am looking for a sugar free or low sugar recipe for homemade pancake syrup. I have my daughter on a limited sugar diet, and she loves pancakes. Store bought sugar free is expensive, so any ideas (recipes) are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

First I want to thank the person who sent in the Weight Watchers recipe for the pineapple pudding from the seventies. It was just the one I was looking for. Now I would like an old fashioned doughnut recipe if anyone has one. Thanks in advance.

Ingredients
Directions
Combine ground pork, water chestnuts, green onion tops, salt, and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Place patties in heavy frying pan. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes; turn and cook 5 minutes more. Pour off dripping as they accumulate. Turn patties, brush lightly with glaze, and continue cooking 3 minutes or to desired doneness. Serve on lettuce leaves. Serves 4. Use sweet and sour sauce, teriyaki glaze, or prepared barbecue sauce as glaze.

Many years ago I was invited to share a meal with a couple who belonged to a volunteer group where I served. The wife was from a well-to-do family in Mexico. She served an elegant buffet free of heavy starches. But the food I remember most was this one:
Directions
Slice a red onion very thin. Place it in a bowl and pour white vinegar over it. Allow it to stand in the refrigerator at least two hours. The vinegar turns pink and takes the heat out of the onion.
While I do not normally eat raw onion, I could hardly stay out of these!
