Sausage and Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup Minute Rice

Directions

Brown sausage and drain. In casserole dish, add soups and rice. Stir well, then add sausage. Cook in oven at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until turning brown on top (just heating and cooking rice).

Recipe: Sausage Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 1/2 cup celery
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1 pkg. dry chicken soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup uncooked rice

Directions

Brown pork sausage; drain all but 2 tablespoons fat. Saute' celery and onion in fat. Combine soups and water. Pour over rice. Combine all ingredients in 2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Remove cover during the last 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cooked, cooled sausage
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 pkg. almond slivers
  • 1 cup brown rice (uncooked)

Directions

Cook sausage and after cooling, add remaining ingredients. Bake, covered, for 1-1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees F.

RE: Sausage Rice Casserole

My roommate does not like green peppers, so I use cream of mushroom soup rather than chicken, and drop the peppers and almonds. Easy and delicious (06/23/2009)

Ingredients
  • 1 package chicken noodle dry soup, prepared
  • 2 lb. sausage, browned and drained
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup diced green pepper
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

Combine all and bake at 300 degrees F for 1 hour.

Recipe: Sausage Rice Casserole

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups white Minute Rice
  • 2 envelopes Lipton dry Chicken Noodle Soup mix
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 lbs. Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage
  • 2 cups blanched slivered almonds
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. ground sage

Directions:

Brown sausage, add salt and pepper to taste, add more sage if desired. Drain and set aside. Bring 3 cups of water to boil, add the rice, and the two envelopes of soup mix and simmer for 5 minutes. Fluff rice, add 1/2 the almonds and combine the sausage. Place mixture in baking dish, top with remaining almonds. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • 1 cup celery
  • 2 packages chicken noodle soup mix
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Directions

Brown sausage and drain well. Add onion, pepper and celery. Cook for a few minutes. Add noodle soup mix and 6 cups of boiling water. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in uncooked rice and chopped almonds. Pour into large casserole and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until rice is done.
