Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz. block of cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 can of Hormel Chili (with or without beans)
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. shredded taco flavored cheese (I use Kraft)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  1. In a large sprayed pie plate, spread the cheese evenly.
  2. Open can of chili and spread on top of cheese.
  3. Evenly spread the cheese on top.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes. Make sure the cheese is melted and the chili and cream cheese are very warm. Serve with large corn chips or tortilla chips.

Personal note: It's easy to keep these items on hand and whip up quickly for unexpected guests. Simply zap the cheese in the pie plate in the microwave until it's of spreadable consistency.

Source: This recipe was introduced to me years ago by my best friend's boyfriend. We got rid of the boyfriend but still enjoy this dip.

This sounds real good. One question though. You say to spread the cheese on the bottom and then on the top. I am assuming the cream cheese goes on the bottom?
