Pineapple Orange Glazed Ham Steak

This recipe is for those who might only be having a couple of people over for the holidays and really don't need or want to cook an entire ham ;-)

Ingredients:

  • 1 (2 lb.) fully cooked ham steak, 1 inch thick
  • 1 (8 oz.) can unsweetened crushed pineapple, juice reserved
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place ham in a baking dish and evenly top ham with pineapple.

Combine reserved pineapple juice, orange juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and ginger in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat cook, stirring, until thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over ham and pineapple and bake, uncovered, until heated through, about 25 to 30 minutes
