Selah (Seal-a) is a 10 1/2 year old Pomeranian with a haircut and she loves it. Selah is a rescue dog. She was surrendered due to foreclosure when she was 9 years old. I've had her just over a year and we are super buddies Selah loves her Kong (with or without the peanut butter in it) and her rope chew toy. They came with her when I adopted her. Selah is very active. Play, play, play is all she wants to do but my cat doesn't want anything to do with playing with a dog. They are getting more comfortable with each other as time goes by. Shopping only once a week and going to the store on your busiest day is the key to spending less on groceries. Over the past few months I have stuck to a simple rule: Grocery shopping once a week. If you are not in the store, you cannot spend money, you can't fall prey to slick marketing and "buy more, save more" types of incentives. With the exception of baby items (formula, diapers) I have found that the once a week schedule works just fine. If we run out of milk or eggs, I just become more creative by using other stuff and patiently wait until "shopping day". Now I am taking a huge step forward. I sat down one day and looked at the calendar. I realized that if I go grocery shopping on certain days, i will not spend much time in the store. For me it's Mondays. I work late on Monday and just want to get home as soon as possible. If my "once a week" shopping trip will take place on Monday after work, I will speed in and out of the grocery store and follow my list. No more meandering down each aisle. I tried it this week and only spent $32. Compared to more than twice that the prior weeks. Try it; it works great. Requires discipline and creativity (substituting ingredients or postponing certain recipes until shopping day). By Bella Swan from Forks, WA Contest Contender!

I used to recycle old socks by cutting the toe section off, then sliding the sock over my children's bottles, sippy cups, juice boxes or canned drinks. This helps keep little hands from getting cold. It insulates the drink. It also helps reduce messes. With the traction it provides, there are less slips and spills. The wet spots left on coffee tables, are no more, the sock absorbs the condensation and sops up any dribbles. By Cblack28 from Walton, KY Contest Contender!

If you don't have a salad spinner and use paper towels to dry lettuce, reuse the paper towels! Just drape them over a drying rack. They dry very quickly. Then fold them up and store with your kitchen linens until the next salad. You can also dry lettuce in clean dish towels and avoid using paper towels at all! Remedy for Itching Mosquito Bites Have you ever been to a outdoor activity and got bit by a mosquito? Well if so, keep reading. There are many ways to prevent the pests but what happens when they do bite? You can use tape or use clear fingernail polish. Here's the story behind this useful tip. One day I was outside taking the trash out, and I noticed a bug on my arm. I smacked it and about 3 hours later I noticed it was 3 bites on my arm. The bug had got me good. I heard a lady talking a week earlier about how clear nail polish stops itching and swelling around the injection site of the mosquito. So I tried it and it actually worked. It stopped the itching and the swelling went down. All you have to do is get some clear nail polish and apply it to the bite. In about 8 to 10 hours the polish will start to crack and you may have to do the process again. By Keyasha from Cincinnati Ohio Contest Contender!

Rate It: The drapes in my bedroom are Chintz and the lining pulled away from the drape when I washed it. I can't decide whether to leave the lining free to ravel or attach it somehow without sewing. I thought of Stitch Witchery or some kind of cloth glue, but don't want it to show on the front of the drapes. Any advice you can extend would be appreciated. Thanks. Rate It: Removing Clay from Car Upholstery How ever do I get modeling clay out of my truck seat upholstery? My son left it in the seat of the truck on a day that hit 110 (outside of the vehicle). Of course it melted into a pathetic mess. I managed to get the majority off, but now there's a huge gray stain on the seat. I've been offered advice to clean with cold water as well as advice to do it with hot. I'm kind of leary now to do either, afraid if I choose the wrong option I'll set that stain in like it was carved in stone. So please tell me the best way. Thanx. Rate It: German Shepherd Puppy is Becoming Aggressive I really need help with my 9 month old German Shepherd. He is very people aggressive. He's good with me and my family. When he was a puppy I took him everywhere with me. Lots of people touched him, talked to him and held him until he got roughly 6 months old. By then he was really starting to grow and nobody wanted anything to do with him because he was a big dog with big teeth. I live in a small town and have no professional dog trainer with in three hours of me. I simply can't afford to send him off for a month to some doggy boot camp. Plus I would rather help with the training and watch it being done first hand. Please help me with my big bully German Shepherd! By Little wonderer from United States

Rate It: Adjusting the Float in the Toilet I need help troubleshooting our toilet. About a month ago, I had to replace most of the interior mechanisms of the toilet after the old ball float arm broke in two places, including the top of the valve. It worked great for a while, but lately it does not shut off by itself. It keeps running, even after the water has over-topped the overflow pipe. It will stop filling if the ball float is manually raised the fraction of the inch needed. The float rises most of the way on its own, it just won't go up that last little bit to shut the valve off. There are no obstructions to the ball float rising, and I have adjusted the screw in both directions, with no effect. This seems like it should be a simple fix, but it's driving me nuts. Rate It: Creating a Pearlescent Wall Finish I would like to know if there is a way to add some pearlescence or shimmer to paint, without doing a real faux finish. I just want something I can roll on over a base coat. I am really not into the faux, but I really want to have a little sparkle or mother of pearl effect.
