How do I make homemade Butterfinger ice cream?
By susanharper05 from Maysville, GA
I have a friend who makes a butterfinger dessert that is deliciious. She uses a container of vanilla icecream, crunched up butterfingers and adds 1 container of whipped topping. She mixes it all together and then refreezes it. it tastes great in cones.
Bubbas Butterfinger Ice Cream
1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 1/2 cups half and half
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp Watkins's Vanilla Extract vanilla
Crush candy bars and place in freezer.
Combine condensed milk and peanut butter and beat smooth with a mixer.
Blend in the half and half, cream and vanilla.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Process in your ice cream maker and when mixture begins to get thick.
Gradually pour in the crushed butterfingers and proceed with manufacturers directions.
Freeze mixture till firm.
Note: I get the vanilla at Wal Mart.
