RE: Secret Santa Ideas
For the people that needed clues for revealing themselves as the secret santa: At the end, you can just take the last gift to the "victims" (as i like to call them) and present it to them and saying that you're their secret santa etc. etc. That's how we do it.

RE: Secret Santa Ideas
Suri, is the 13 year old a girl or a boy? If it's a a girl I recommend trying lip gloss, a makeup set, gift cards (the mall nearest you, hollister, abercrombie and fitch, delias, aeropostale etc,) a bag or a purse, or jewelry. If it's a boy I recommend a wallet with cash.

Last year I used a can opener that cuts below the rim, I opened it from the bottom and you can't tell is been open. I then put my gift inside and she had to use a can opener to get gift. I also gave her and empty box, and put a note that said I got her the gift that she always she tells her husband she wants. Nothing.

Last year we made snowman poop, marshmellows and sprinkles in a cute little bag. Google, snowman poop to find the poem that goes with it. You can also find the raindeer droppings and maxipad slippers. They were a blast and cheap!

I am doing a Secret Santa this year and am running out of ideas. I work at an elementary school and I love to be creative. I have worked there for almost 9 years but there's some turnover so I don't know all the people very well. I like to make it personal if I can but it's not always possible. Help!! Does anybody have any suggestions? All responses will be much appreciated. Merry Christmas! ;)""""

RE: Secret Santa Ideas
usually a trip to cvs or walgreens will do the trick. They have alot of cute little candies and cheap christmas stuff. Also a local dollar store will have random things that can be fun. Candie, a santa hat, raw cookie dough. Those are all fun. Also You can go to ac moore or a michals or whatever craft store is by you and get all kinds of things like make your own deer antlers and crafty christmas stuff. And if you want, they have pain shirts cheap, and you can write on them with fabric marcers and give that to them.

Trying to come up with the same thing. I think I'll do a rhyme like the boo but say that it has to be homemade cookies, ornaments, spirits, crocheted scarf, etc. I think I'll not call it Christmas though - we have a diverse neighborhood - - but maybe a winter surprise.

RE: Secret Santa Ideas
One year I sent my recipient on a scavenger hunt each day to find her secret santa gift. I made up each clue based on well know areas and left the gifts there. Also one year one of my colleagues made a picture of herself and cut it up like puzzle pieces. Each day she gave her person a small gift and one piece of the puzzle. By the end of the time she was able to find out who the person was based on the puzzle pieces.

a few idears used in the distant past: *snack bag of marshmallows labeled "snowman poop" *wrap a HUGE box...fill with crumpled up newspaper, and at the bottom wrap up one of those small poppers (you turn it inside out and place it on a flat surface and it POPS into the air) popper costs about 10 cents and it's more fun for the rest of the office to sit there and watch the recipient go through the entire box! *here's a great one: very small stocking (kind that sell for less than $1) with 2 AA batteries in it and a sign that says, "Gift Not Included."

I found this link that gives a poem for each sense so you can gift a gift of smell (candles), gift of taste (candy), gift of touch( I gave earrings), etc. Here is the link

It is in the center of the post. I also pasted it here in case you have problems.. love Jenn
A whiffin', sniffin' gift, Especially for you. It's from "Secret Santa" Bet you can't guess who!
Winkin', blinkin, just don't nod. This gift is for your eyes. It's from Secret Santa too, By now, that's no surprise.
Jingle, jangle, what do I hear? It's not a reindeer sleigh-- It must be Secret Santa, Hurrying on his way.
Yummy, yummy, tummy tingling. A tasty, tempting treat. Won't you be surprised When we finally meet!
This final gift--for the sense of touch-- Might be a bit surprising. I'm sure you know just who I am, Without realizing. ~author unknown~

RE: Secret Santa Ideas
Laurie,
I was just looking for the same thing and this is what I found on about.com. I hope it helps.
Ghost of Christmas Spirit Letter Surprise
Phyllis explains how to make a simple holiday treat for someone special. A nice holiday surprise! Materials Needed: Letter Below Candy Cane Christmas Star Instructions: This is a fun surprise gift that is left near someone's door without them knowing who left it! (Sort of like a May Day basket.)
Print out the letter below or make up your own, grab a candy cane, and include a homemade star ornament or picture. Then put them all in a little gift bag or basket and leave them on someone's front steps - don't let them see you! Print out and include this letter:
The ghost of Christmas Present has come here, To leave you some good old Holiday cheer. Don't be an Ebonezer, oh boy Continue this greeting, this Christmas joy. First, put this greeting where all can see, Try to leave it there on Christmas eve. It will pass good will to all who visit. Be sure to join in, you won't want to miss it. Second, add a candy cane and a Christmas star. Deliver it to a neighbor, maybe near, maybe far. Don't let them see you - be sneaky - no doubt, And make sure they find this greeting out. Next, you have only just one chance, so be fast. Leave it at the door where joy needs to last. Leave it at dark when there isn't much light. Ring the door bell, run, stay out of sight. And last but not least, join in this season. Don't worry, be happy, you don't need a reason. This is good for all, and just trying to say, Merry Christmas to all and have a great day.

oh man... craziest idea EVER. I wrote my secret santa a little note on a paper sprayed with the perfume that i wear. it said "use your nose to track down your secret santa"... clever is it not? so my secret santa will have to do something different to find me today. i suggest you try it.
