RE: Visit from a Woodpecker
I think they are cute and I have one like him as well, and I also have a downy woodpecker that comes to my feeder quite often. It doesn't have to snow for them to come to my feeders. But I love to watch all the type of birds that come to our feeders. They are such a blessing from God. Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures with us.

He is a wonderful bird! He is a Northern Hairy Woodpecker that has made his way down from his natural breeding spot from Ontario, Canada. The Canadian border is roughly 15 miles from where i live. I had the chance to get some more photos yesterday of him, and bluejays, and of course my favorite friends, the chicadees! the chicadees are so friendly. this photo i was lucky to get the chicadee in flight!

What a cute downy woodpecker. I feed the birds also. Have lots of cardinals, woodpeckers, chickadees, tufted titmouse, juncos. You name it I have it. Please send that snow to Maryland. Also feed the squirrels.

During snowstorms it is especially important to feed the birds. The snow covers up all their food and you will be amazed at all the birds you will have at your feeders.

RE: Visit from a Woodpecker
We had a woodpecker visit during our last snow. It was kind of funny to see him try to balance on the edge of the feeder!
