Eagle Brand Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (or generic brand)
  • 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter or butterscotch chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In 13x9 baking pan, melt margarine in oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over margarine; pour Eagle Brand evenly over crumbs. Top with chips; press down firmly. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool, cut in bars. Makes 24-36 bars.

I used to make this in college and would add walnuts and coconut. Yum! Very rich but very delicious.

WE ALSO ADDED COCONUT AND NUTS TO OURS. WE ALWAYS KNEW THEM AS 7 LAYER COOKIES

My mother used to make something similiar but it also had cream cheese. I've been looking for her recipe for awhile with no luck, so I'll try this one and maybe play with it a bit.
