Make the recipe for your favorite cupcakes. Get one can of whipped topping, it has to be in the can. Put a glob of whipped cream on top and curl the end. Then place two red hots for eyes and you have cute ghostly cup cakes. Remember to keep chilled until serving time or the whipped cream will melt.

I once made a cake for a Pathologist's birthday which would work well for a Halloween party. It was an Amputated Leg Cake. I made a 9x13 red velvet cake and cut it into pieces to create the shape of a side view of lower leg and foot. I iced it with yucky greenish-yellow icing, created a green icing big toenail, black icing leg hairs and tattoo, a white icing toe tag with black icing writing, a white icing jagged bone sticking out the top of the leg, with red icing torn muscle around it. It was the hit of the party.
