Poll: Do you use any homemade cleaners?

I use pretty much use all homemade cleaners with the exception of laundry soap and dishwasher detergent. I also try to use "green" cleaners as much as possible and will not use ammonia for anything! With 2 small kids and a dog I don't want to risk anything. The only thing I do stick with is clorine bleach ... nothing is the same as bleach but now it's used only in toilets and in the dishwasher detergent but with vinegar in the rinse cycle.

I'm very thankful for ThriftFun for all the tips and "recipes" that help keep my home cleaner and the enviroment cleaner!

Yes. Many since I've joined thrifty-fun! I just tried a spray-n-wash. Works good

1/3 all purpose cleaner(I tried simple green)
1/3 tap water
1/3 dawn

put in spray bottle, apply and wash.

I use vinegar to spray in shower and tub to clean and prevent mold, and baking soday to scour pots and pans.

We mix water and vinegar to clean the windows. Works great.
