Treatment for Cold Sores

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. Bactine
  • 1 tsp. rubbing alcohol

Directions

Apply to fever blister/cold sore 4 times per day with a q-tip at first sign of a tingle. The active ingredient in Bactine is benzalkonium chloride. It works wonders. Bactine also has a numbing ingredient also so it takes away the discomfort to boot.

It will change your life!

I love your site and I actually have something to add. I find a lot on your site. Thank you!

When you get a cold sore, it's cause your stomach Ph is messed up. Find ways to increase ur stomach acid, it will change your life. Hydrochloric acid is what's needed. I've taken it for over 30 years, & it stops the cold sore in it's tracks, like right now. If you find it when it's starting, it never even gets any blisters or scabs & the pain stops right now, too.

L-Lysine works like a charm and also relieves the pain of shingles.

Tip: Treatment for Cold Sores

For a cold sore to heal faster, use the tip of your finger, lick it or wet it lightly under a faucet and dip it in alum, which is a common seasoning (spice). It will dry up the cold sore more quickly and make it less painful. I know because I use this method all the time!

We use alum for canker sores also. Doesn't taste real good, but it works. (06/25/2004)

I take L-Lysine every day and I no longer get cold sores. Saw this in a doctors office and it really works. (06/26/2004)

RE: Treatment for Cold Sores

I had a doctor tell me to mix a little Benadryl from a caplet with Carmex Lip balm and put it on the cold sore. It works well. (06/26/2004)
