Dawn is a brand name. The closest equivalent to Dawn in Europe - and I'm assuming Australia too - is Fairy washing up liquid or Texol if you can find it. Since it's a concentrated degreaser to remove fats, etc. from dishes, it has a lot of uses for other things too. Hope this helps.

What is so special about Dawn dish liquid? I keep seeing it recommended for this,that and the other, is it so different from anything else, and if so, why? Curiosity getting the better of me. Thanks for any replies.

I've read that Dawn liquid is good to help kill lawn grubs (Sod Webworm). This is what's brought me to find where I can purchase it from.
So if anyone reading this can help?
Wondering if substance ingredient in 'Fairy liquid' that's mentioned is exact to 'Dawn liquid'?
