Make Your Own Bumper Stickers

Does anyone have any ideas for making your own bumper stickers? Something that would be not too difficult to remove at a later date.

Thanks,

Barbara from Illinois

Try contact paper! You cut paper (with backing still attached) to fit your printer or to suitable size for a bumper sticker, add your own lettering and spray lightly with a clear coat/sealer. I've made several for friends. You can also make them for placecards(the paper peels easily off the tablecloth) or as namecards for a party or family reunion. The contact paper comes in many patterns and is very versatile. My sister uses it for gift tags also!

Print your slogan on paper. Trim message into bumper sticker shape you want. Encapsilate paper with message by using wide, clear, packaging tape. Run tape horizontally starting at the bottom of paper, overlapping edges of paper at bottom and sides by 1/2" or so. With next row of tape, overlap the previous row 1/4 to 1/2" to protect from rain (like house shingles). Do the same with tape on other side. Now trim clear overlapped edges to 1/4" to 1/2" on all sides 4 sides. Apply double-sided tape to back and stick it on your bumper. A razor blade and I think alcohol will take off adhesive; I know gasoline does.

You can get printable magnet backed paper for your computer. I would try that. You could also write on it. It is definitely removeable.
