Refreezing Homemade Soup
I cooked some chicken in broth for soup. I didn't have time to finish making the soup, so I froze it. I want to finish making the soup. After I make the soup, can I refreeze it to eat at a later time?

I would do it if it were me, in fact I have done it. The experts probably would say not to.

RE: Refreezing Homemade Soup
In all honesty, you should only do it once. (06/09/2010)

RE: Refreezing Homemade Soup
I also say only once. To keep from being wasteful I place my homemade soup in individual containers. One or two servings per container and then thaw one at a time in the refrigerator. (06/10/2010)
