Though summer may be slowly leaving, the arrival of fall signals a cornucopia of wonderful decorating possibilities. As with many bridal events such as wedding showers and engagement parties, it is the perfect time to spin the color wheel and utilize earth-tone colors and hues inspired by the beautiful changes of fall.

Use Earth-tone Colors in Table Decorations

Whether planning a fun bridal shower with girl friends or an evening wedding party, find inspirational and vibrant colors such as burgundy, burnt gold, red, brown, olive, and plum that are readily found in various table elements. Many of these colors can also be found in items such as organza fabrics and ribbons. Use color coordination as a creative technique to find a balance when choosing to decorate table centerpieces. For instance, a centerpiece consisting of burgundy roses set on a table with elegant gold trimmed tableware can be matched with pretty placecard frames in fall-inspired colors such as gold or bronze. When finding favors with an autumn twist, delight the senses by wrapping fragrant apple cider sticks in colorful ribbons or organza bags. Create a placecard holder by personalizing it with a small favor tag hand written with each guest's name.

Find Homemade Treats that Make Fragrant Guest Favors and Gifts

For a great bridal shower favor idea, create homemade potpourri or tea packets infused with scents such as cinnamon spice, pumpkin, orange rum, candy apple, or maple. Package them in reusable favor boxes to ensure that guests will appreciate them. Many of these boxes are often made with materials such as fabric, acrylic, straw, or sinamay. Complete the presentation with a lovely olive, gold, or red organza wrap - unlike gift-wrapping paper; wraps can be a fast and convenient way of packaging gifts, especially when working alone. Save money on table decorations by placing each favor at your guest's table setting or as part of a beautifully decorated welcoming table - filled with accents such as pine cones and maple leaves.

Save Money by Using Practical Elements

Fall is definitely filled with exciting choices that are often inspired by simplicity. Many of these choices can be found in rich colors and unique shapes, which need not be expensive and hard to find. When finding table decorations, be sure to select accents that can also serve as edible treats like apples, olives, and nuts. As for gifts and favors, use fragrant ingredients indicative of the season for not only creating a memorable presentation, but also a delightful treat for guests.
