Layla Doesn't Like Messy Hands
Layla Doesn't Like Messy Hands
This is Layla (my grandaughter). She just turned one year old on November 23rd. She does not like for her hands to be "messy". She did not want to eat her Birthday Cake, she wanted someone to clean her hands off! Her daddy swiped icing on her mouth, she did not do it.

Oh my goodness, she is just like my (now 37 year old) daughter was as a baby! We still kid her about how she couldn't stand to have messy hands - we had to wipe her hands after every bite until she learned to use a spoon! She would feed herself a bite, take a look at her messy hands, and start to fuss and waggle her hands - and feet! - until we wiped off the food. She grew up to be a very tidy, organized woman, so I guess the trait starts early! Congratulations on your beautiful grandbaby! She's just a doll!

I have a grandson, who now is almost 3. When he was just a small guy & I would feed him, & he'd get food on his hands or around his mouth, on his face, he would try to get the food off. He would let me get his face cleaned, & stick out his hands so I would clean them. It was something, cause you think of babies not caring about that sort of thing.
