Raw Potato For Healthy Skin

Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts

Rub a raw potato on your face to help with skin discoloration, wrinkles, and age spots. Enzymes in the raw potato nourishes your skin tissue, and the alkaline content gives you a nice glow. I used to have bad acne scars, until I started using this method. This saves me the hundreds of dollars a year I used to spend on expensive creams and ointments!

Does it matter what kind of potato?

Do you leave the potato "juice" on your face, or do you cleanse it off? How often do you do it? Thanks!

I use russet potatoes, I think the same acidity content comes in other kinds of potatoes. Some of my friends with less scarring than me just slice the raw potato and rub against the whole (clean) face, leave juices on for 15 minutes, then rinse with water. In my very scarred times, I would peel the raw potato, finely grate and put the paste on my face for about 15-20 minutes then rinse.

I did this for a week straight until I saw a huge difference. My girlfriends use this on days they do not exfoliate. :) Let me know how it goes!

My sister swears by this method. Can't say I have tried it but she looks great ;-)
