Cinnamon Plum Pie


  • Pastry for 9 inch double crust pie
  • 8-10 large fresh plums, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • Ad
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • milk
  • 1 tsp. sugar


Line a 9 inch pie pan with pastry.combine plums, sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in saucepan, bring to a boil, stirring often and cook until thickened and clear, about 15 minutes. Pour into pastry lined pan and dot with butter. Roll out remaining dough, place over filling and crimp edges to seal. With sharp knife, cut several slits in top. Brush top with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool one hour before serving.
